Carla Zimbler blurs reality through live animation, where fragments of our world are warped and deconstructed to alter mood and trigger emotional response. Audiences are coaxed inside immersive spaces where sound-reactive projections expand, contract and creep up walls. Carla’s live performances bend visuals to architectural curves and sculptures, making them dynamic, responsive and site specific. Carla has operated visuals for local and international festivals including Dour Festival (Belgium), Distortion Festival (Denmark), Field Day, Listen Out and VIVID. As part of Tszuj collective, Carla has designed stages for PACT Centre, ACMI, Hybrid Festival, Inner Varnika and Melbourne Music Week.
