Brook Dwyer

Inspector Brook Dwyer, Drug and Alcohol Coordination Unit. QPS. Brook has over 25 years with the Qld Police Service working in many areas including 15 years as a Detective in regional Criminal Investigation Bureau’s and the State Drug Squad and 6 years as the Officer in Charge of the Crime Stoppers Unit. With a strong focus on working with community and stakeholders she received the 2016 Highly Commended: Most Outstanding Female Practitioner Award and the 2019 Mentor of the Year Award as part of the Queensland Women in Policing Awards. Brook was appointed as the Manager of the Drug and Alcohol Coordination Unit in 2017 which oversees the development and implementation of the QPS Drug and Alcohol policy. She is a strong believer in stakeholder engagement to inform policing initiatives.
