Music in Exile - Director

#About

Joe Alexander began his career drumming for bands around the Brisbane music scene, ultimately starting a DIY grassroots record label called Bedroom Suck Records. Ten years down the track, and the team at Bedroom Suck have launched Music in Exile - a not-for-profit initiative aimed at increasing access to resources and building industry networks for musicians from a migrant or refugee background. MiE aims to share resources, collaborate with artists and tell their incredible stories; to build pathways for sustainable music careers in Australia and to welcome those around them with open arms.
