Kathy McCabe

Kathy McCabe has been writing about music and the people who make it for 25 years. She swapped covering murder and mayhem for Australia’s leading newspaper group News Corp Australia to eventually become the National Music Writer and a passionate advocate for the art form. During her career, she has interviewed every recording artist and performer who matters. She detoured from writing to re-open the Australian music department for EMI and Virgin in Australia in the mid 1990s. She has seen more gigs than movies in her lifetime and like most fans on the planet, remains mystified and captivated by the magic that happens when an artist performs live.
